A first concept for the characterization and quantification of limonene in a 12/6 in vitro gas phase exposure system was successfully established. Our data on constant transfer of limonene in the exposure chamber are promising, and will be further investigated to improve other crucial operational aspects of the device. Our goal is to optimize constancy at SP1 using alternative tubing materials. The dilution of limonene with compressed air will be analyzed at SP2, dose and distribution over the exposure site of the in vitro Skin model at SP3.
